Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) deleted the three most harmful typhoons from the list of prospected typhoon names that entered the country last year.

Weather Forecasting Division Chief Robert Sawi of PAGASA revealed 'Santi', 'Labuyo', and 'Yolanda' were replaced by the new names of 'Salome', 'Lannie', and 'Yasmin.' These newly added names will be included in 2017 typhoon names.

'Santi' lashed northern Luzon causing up to P3.287 billion which also resulted in the death of 15-people in October, 2013.

Typhoon ‘Labuyo’ left P1.4 billion damage when it hit the Northern Luzon in August.

The super typhoon 'Yolanda' was the notable one that destroyed amounting of P36.69 billion and killed more than 6,000 people in November.

Based on the rules of PAGASA, the names of the storms are replaced every four years.

The storm is qualified when the records show of 300 or more dead tools or causes P1 billion of damages, that particular storm name is replaced.
